Angry Birds Trilogy headed to a console near you

Angry Birds Trilogy headed to a console near you

During this past E3, Activision had a booth that just bled everything Angry Birds. It had a teaser reel with the Acvitision logo slapped on it, with an Activision spokesperson telling people to expect an announcement in the coming weeks. Well, it appears that announcement is today, as Angry Birds Trilogy was officially announced today.

According to Rovio’s Executive Vice President of Games Petri Järvilehto, Trilogy will be ”built from the ground up” for that HDTV you have in your home. So what does Angry Birds Trilogy contain? Well, my friends, it contains the original Angry BirdsAngry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio. In short, everything looks a lot prettier and just nicer. In addition to the niceties of HD, Angry Birds Trilogy will also support Microsoft Kinect, PlayStation Move, and StreetPass for the 3DS.

You can expect Angry Birds Trilogy to land for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo 3DS (why no Vita love?), though with that being said, I’m left wondering why they couldn’t include Angry Birds Space and called the whole package Angry Birds Tetralogy? I think it’ll catch on just fine. Oh, and no release date has been confirmed. Sorry!
