Xcom: Enemy Unknown’s Pre-Order Incentive Revealed

2K’s strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown will include special units and character designs for those who pre-order Eurogamer reports.

Pre-ordering the game from selected retailers will net you the Elite Soldier Pack which provides an additional soldier based on the retro XCOM title. Soldier Deco for aesthetic changes to armour as well as different coloured armour will also be included in the pack. You can see the Pack’s extra troops in the image above.

PC gamers will also have the chance to buy an exclusive Special Edition which comes with a book, foldout poster of the XCOM headquarters, an XCOM patch, a digital soundtrack and a desktop wallpaper as well as other, unannounced bonuses.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is being developed by Civilization maker Firaxis while XCOM, a first person action title is being produced by 2K Marin. XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be released on the 9th of September in North America and three days later in Europe for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC
