It would appear Sony is prepping for an all new tablet after the not so successful trial of the Sony Tablet S. The Sony Xperia Tablet was spotted on German site Mobiflip with some screen shots of the device. The tablet will be thinner, lighter and more powerful than that of it’s older sister, the Sony Tablet S. Also mentioned is the name change for all future Sony tablets from here on out will be branded as Xperia.
Specs for the device are as follows, a Tegra 3 processor, Android 4.0 or even perhaps the new 4.1 (Jelly Bean), 16/32/64 memory configurations for storage and a 6000mAH battery. The battery is said to last up to 10 hours. As with the PS Vita, Xperia will include a 3G and Wifi for network and internet access. Case is made of 8.8mm thick splash-proof aluminum, with a keyboard cover similar to that of the Micosoft Surface tablet.
And now for the price, suggested retail prices for the 16/32/64 versions will be 449.99, 549.99, and 649.99 USD.
