Plants vs Zombies Sequel to Release in 2013

PopCap Games announced today that a sequel to their runaway hit Plants vs. Zombies will be released within the next year . A solid date was not given, but fans are told to expect it sometime in 2013.

Plants vs. Zombies is a tower defense game pitting players against waves of the undead with the aid of garden plants with various abilities. With the new game, we’re promised new plant and zombie types and new challenges for each level.

No specific platforms have been confirmed for the game as of yet, but stay tuned for more info in the coming months.
