Gaymercon Gains EA’s Backing

Gaymercon, an event aimed at the LGBTQ gamer community, has received the official backing of Electronic Arts MCV reports.

Ginger Maseda, EA’s global diversity and inclusion manager said: “EA believes that to be truly innovative, you must be inclusive. We are proud to be a part of this event.”

While the publisher’s industry relations director Jack DeVries said: “EA not only publishes some of the best games in the world, but they’re the most progressive company in the industry. We’re thrilled and honoured to have them involved in Gaymercon.”

Gaymercon smashed its $25,000 Kickstater last month and is scheduled for August 3rd - 4th 2013 in San Francisco.

Several EA titles will be playable at the event.
