Has World of Warcraft Been Hacked?

It would seem something is odd in the world of Azeroth. In major cities across realms people are dying. Entire cities have become ghost towns as what would seem to be a hack is terminating all characters in those cities. The forums are active with users talking about which realms are currently being effected, so far Tarren Mill, Ragnaros, Draenor, Twisting Nether are being effected.
