Activision announced today that the popular zombies mode seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops and expected in Black Ops II will not be making an appearance in the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified. Developers cite the omission as a result of wanting to focus solely on delivering a solid single and multiplayer experience “with twin-stick controls in a portable format”.
But while brain-eating monsters won’t be featured within the game, you will be able to take part in what is known as Hostiles Mode, a horde-mode like experience that pits the player against waves of bots.
Black Ops: Declassified is a standalone Call of Duty experience available soon for the PlayStation Vita.
