GameStick Reaches its Kickstarter Goal in Less than a Day

GameStick, an Android based console which fits unto a memory stick, has raised over $100,000 on Kickstarter in under 24 hours.

PlayJam, the makers of the device, announced the console in a press release yesterday promising “the most transportable TV console gaming device ever.”

The GameStick will cost $79 – including the Bluetooth controller – meaning it’s slightly cheaper than the Ouya, another successfully Kickstarted Android console and will offer the option for pay-to-play games. Currently the Ouya only allows for free-to-play titles.
