News On Final Fantasy X PS3 and Vita HD Remastered Edition To Come “Soon”

In response to a question on Twitter, Square Enix Europe responded to a fan’s question about an HD version of Final Fantasy X with a cryptic “The world will get answers soon, we promise.”

Square Enix first teased the possibility of bringing a remastered HD edition of Final Fantasy X to both the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita last year. Until now, nothing has been heard of the versions since.

Final Fantasy X was first released in 2002 on the PlayStation 2 and follows the exploits of Blitzball player Tidus in his quest to save the planet from a whale-like enemy. It should be noted that this planned port is an HD remastered Edition of Final Fantasy X and not a remake.

While growing concerns follow the re-release of Final Fantasy X, questions come up more and more often about SquareEnix's lack of concern for its American customers and their nonexistent concern for making money by pandering to the requests of their fans worldwide. Hereis a list of such concerns:

Playstation Store releases of high selling titles such as Crisis Core or Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

American and European release of Final Fantasy Type-0

Remastered copies or full edition copies of the Kingdom Hearts Series (also released in Japan)

An eventual and long awaited remake of Final Fantasy 7 (as teased in Playstation 3 Technical demo)
