PayPal coming to North American PSN Accounts

PayPal coming to North American PSN Accounts

Are you one of those people who are always concerned about giving your credit card information away to companies over the internet? Do you prefer to buy Microsoft Points and PSN money at physical retailers instead of on the internet? Given Sony’s, in particular, past difficulties with account security I wouldn’t blame you. And apparently Sony doesn’t either.

North American PSN members can now add funds to their virtual wallets via PayPal directly from the Sony Entertainment Network site. In theory, users will be able to use PayPal to add money to their Playstation Wallets in increments of $5, 10, 25, 50 and 100. Currently any attempt to use PayPal results in an error method encouraging you to try another payment method.

At the time of reporting it is yet unclear how PayPal’s newly introduced Bill Me Later service will factor into purchases from sony.
