Yoshi’s Island U Announced For The Wii U

During the crazy Nintendo Direct this morning, a bunch of new Wii U games were announced and one of them was a brand new Yoshi’s Island coming to the Wii U.

There is no official title for the game yet but Yoshi’s Island U sounds about right to me. Still, we do know that the game is under good care by the man who directed by Yoshi’s Island and Yoshi’s Story. That should hopefully mean it will feel very much like a new game in that series with the unique music and style.

It will definitely be unique as the game is also being developed by the same team that did Kirby: Epic Yarn. Yes, we’ll have more yarn this time around but with more green.

Not much else was said about the new Yoshi game but you can tell it is a 2D platformer.
