Enjoy desert mermaids, cosplayers and video game references abound in this post-apocalyptic Team Unicorn music video

The geeky, lascivious female squadron that’s also known as Team Unicorn, has just transcended time and space to bring the world a brand new, original music video. As the headline indicates, the video deals with the a plethora of video game references, cosplayers running rampant, and a rare desert mermaid. Maybe it’s just me, but after looking at this title I was hoping for Suda 51 to materialize and immediately conceptualize his next working game. Oh well, this will have to do!

In case you were unaware, Team Unicorn has been around since 2010 and is comprised of the beautiful Michele Boyd, Clare Grant, Milynn Sarley and Rileah Vanderbilt. Their website, in a hilarious way, will tell you they came from some other distant planet – but don’t be fooled! Jumping off the success of their parody to Katy Perry’s California Gurls, the ladies have been making videos ever since and that’s led to the debut of For the Win. With cameos from the likes of Weird Al Yankovic, Aisha Tyler, Ashley Holliday and Grant Imahara, there really is something for everyone here. Well, maybe.

Watched it? If there’s one thing for sure, no one in this music video is playing Ninja Gaiden. Ever.
