Seven Easy Ways to Earn Achievements

We’ve already taken a look at some easy ways to earn platinum trophies for our PS3 friends, and continuing in the tradition of trophy and achievement whoring, it’s time to throw some love to the Xbox 360 crowd with seven easy ways to boost your Gamerscore.

WORDAMENT

Wordament is free iOS word game that links to your Live account to reward you with achievements as you play. Most of the achievements are easy to get, with the few exceptions of defeating a certain number of your “frenemies” online or getting the longest word on a board. All of the achievements are only worth a measly 5 points, but it’s still supremely satisfying to earn achievements when you’re away from your Xbox. THE WALKING DEAD

This is one I’d recommend to gamers on any platform, beacause 1) The Walking Dead is a fantastic game, and 2) it’s a total trophy/achievement fest. All the achievements earned in The Walking Dead come from simply completing chapters in each episode. Yep, you read that right; complete all five episodes, earn a nice 500 points and experience one of the most revered games of the year. You really can’t miss on this one.

TMNT

There are some games on this list that only the hardest of hardcore achievment whores will pursue for coveted achievement points. This is one of those games.

TMNT is a game based on the 2007 movie of the same name. No, the movie’s not great. And no, the game’s not great, either. But it does reward you with an easy 1000 points, most of them awarded for merely completing levels. If you’re not like me and don’t refuse to play anything ninja turtle related until they make a good Turtles in Time re-make, then give this one a try.

KING KONG

Another one for the brave souls who are willing to suffer for achievement points. Sure, it’s not a great game, but there’s an easy 1000 points awaiting you merely for completing King Kong. At leas that’s more than you got from watching that horrible movie, right?

FIGHT NIGHT 3

The fight night games aren’t necessarily the deepest of fighting games, but they still are pretty fun. As such, this one isn’t necessarily the most painful 1000 points you’ll ever achieve. There are 8 total achievements for this one, and all of them require you to win various fights throughout the game. Lace up the gloves and earn a quick 1000, my friends.

VIVA PINATA

This is one that has relatively easy achievements, but will take you some time to get all 1000 points for the game. Thankfully, Viva Pinata is a fun and addicting game you won’t necessarily mind sinking long hours into, making it an easy reason to play.

LEGO BATMAN

This is another one that isn’t too difficult, but will take you some time and a handful of playthroughs. Most of the achievements are earned simply by grinding through combat and defeating enemies in the game’s main story. It’s not too crazy of a prospect, however, and the Lego games are fun and a great way to wind down after some brutal online matches.
