Sony Developer Insists The Last Guardian Is Still Alive
A Sony developer, who did not wish to be named, informed Kotaku that the project is still in development despite being absent from E3, gamescom and TGS.
“I give you my word that it exists,” the developer said before insisting that: “We are working on it.”
“The game is developed on PS3,” Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida recently told Eurogamer.
So what’s the hold up? According to Yoshida, “We had the game playable. At one point we felt that it would be produced for a certain time period. That was the time we prematurely talked about the launch window. But it turned out the technical issues are much harder to solve. So the engineering team had to go back and re-do some of the work they had done.”
The anonymous developer commented: “There are lots of pieces to the puzzle, it’s a matter of getting them to fit together.”
“[It's a] very ambitious project” he added.
