Lobo is Injustice’s First DLC Character

Lobo is Injustice’s First DLC Character

Lobo was announced quite a while ago that he was going to be Injustice’s first DLC character, but gameplay footage of Lobo in action has officially been shown.  NetherRealm Studios released a video of him beating the snot out of Batman on their official YouTube page.

Lobo is free to all those who bought the $15 season pass for Injustice, and will come out on May 7th.  The season pass will get you all 4 of the upcoming downloadable characters as well.  If you opt to buy each character individually, then each character will cost 5 dollars.  If you see yourself buying all of the DLC, you’ll be saving $5 by getting the season pass.

From the video, it looks like Lobo is a well-rounded character, with close up attacks with his sawed-off shotgun, and long range capabiliites with his chain.  Having a superhero utilize a shotgun to just blast other superheroes in the face is pretty funny to me, and I’m excited to see someone with a little more edge added to Injustice’s roster.   Lobo’s finisher is similarly comical, with him getting on his bike and blowing fiery exhaust into Batman’s face.  And it ends with a blurred out middle finger to the Dark Knight’s face.  Who hasn’t wanted to flick Bruce Wayne off before?

The video also showcases Batman wearing a costume from the Flashpoint universe, but there’s no word yet on whether different character skins will be available as DLC.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is a 2-D fighter featuring heroes and villains from the DC Universe.  Made by NetherRealm Studios, the developers behind the Mortal Kombat series, Injustice has been well-received by both critics and the public.  Heralded not only for its great fighting mechanics and interactive backgrounds, Injustice’s story mode has also been recognized as one of the best fighting game single player campaigns around.  For more information, check out our review.
