Spencer confirmed that he wanted a game to compete with PlayStation 4's Uncharted 4.
WWE 2K15 Screenshot and First Details Emerge
The first screenshot for WWE 2K15 has emerged, along with some details about the upcoming wrestling game. The game’s description on WWE Shop provides insight into the game’s features and improvements. A new screenshot was revealed, which showcases the current-gen graphics of the Xbox One and PS4.
According to the description, which reads like a generic checklist of sports games improvements, Visual Concepts, the developer behind most of the 2K Brand of sports video games, will be collaborating with Yuke’s on WWE 2K15. The game will use motion capture technology and improved graphical fidelity which will take advantage of the current-gen hardware. The game will also feature audio improvements and brand new commentary.
There is a surprising (or perhaps unsurprising) lack of any real features though according to the description, there will be new game modes and other surprises in store. I’ll admit that the screenshot looks impressive though keep in mind that looking good in a screenshot isn’t the same as looking good when the game is in motion. I would advice to quietly reserve judgement until we see some gameplay footage or at the very least, a trailer of some kind.
WWE 2K15 is scheduled to release on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 on Oct. 28 in North America. The game will feature wrestling icon Sting, as a pre-order bonus.
