Grand Theft Auto V Hits Another Sales Milestone
Take-Two Interactive has announced today that Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V continues to break sales records, as the game has sold over 34 million copies worldwide since its release last September.
The news was confirmed during Take-Two’s earnings call for the first quarter of 2015, where chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick updated the sales numbers for Grand Theft Auto V. He confirmed that the game has sold an additional one million copies over the past quarter, and has reached 34 million in sales.
The game was also confirmed for release on current-gen consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and PC. Zelnick expects this sales milestone to increase even further once the game comes out for the aforementioned systems this Fall.
In other news, Take-Two also announced that Evolve, the co-op shooter from Turtle Rock Studios, has been delayed to 2015. Making Grand Theft Auto V’s re-release on new systems that much more important for the publisher.
