Zynga Loses Fans in Fake Facebook Purge

Zynga Loses Fans in Fake Facebook Purge

Facebook has recently been going around removing fake accounts and it has seem to make a dent on the social gaming king pin Zyna, Kotaku reports that FarmVille lost 41,000, CityVille 25,000, Mafia Wars  21,000 and the biggest loser, Texas HoldEm, lost more than 100,000 fans.

And while the numbers do seem large in a downgrade, it only counts as a fraction of one percent impact. Still, does leave one to wonder where all these fake accounts and likes are coming from. It was also reported that other fan pages were also effected, including Ninja Saga, which lost some 21,000 fans.
