As I’ve mentioned more then once, I do Let’s Plays on my YouTube channel of games via emulators, downloadable games, and RPG maker games like The Witch’s House. There are some things about Let’s Plays that you should know if you ever consider doing them yourself.
Recently on my YouTube channel I started a Let’s Play of the Super Mario Kaizo Hack, I actually feel as though playing it has taught me something about controls in games.
I love Ape Escape more then any other series, and I want a proper fourth game for the PS3 and I have few niffty ideas for it.
Now, if you watched my Youtube videos you’d know im a big fan of creepypasta, the inernet equivilent of campfire stories. There are creepypastas about monsters, slenderman, mental illness, TV shows, and yes, even video games.
Unfortunatly, a lot of gaming pastas are incredibly dissapointing.
Dan Houser, co-founder of Rockstar games, said in an interview with the Guardian that during the “Hot Coffee” scandal of 2005 “We never felt that we were being attacked for the content, we were being attacked for the medium, which felt a little unfair. If all of this stuff had been put into a book or a movie, people wouldn’t have blinked an eye.” The whole thing about sex and sexuality in video games has always been issue, and while the intensity of just how much of an issue it is has changed for better or worse, it has always been there. I’ve pondered this again and again but never really found the right words for it, but Dan Houser saying that they were being attacked for being in a video game was just what I was looking for.
Another week, another hand picked bargain. Brilliant games at astounding prices are the only things showcased in Reasonably Priced Game of The Week. This week we see Fallout 3 taking the limelight for the second episode.
When playing online we all shortly realize there’s a set of unwritten rules that are expected to be followed, obviously there are those few who don’t. In consideration that Call of Duty ( One of the most popular, console based, multiplayer games) has a new installment I thought it would be beneficial to clarify these unwritten rules, better known as the seven deadly sins of online gaming.
As a martial artist and a gamer, it shouldn’t be a surprise to you that I love me some ninjas, so i’m wondering if there’s better and more intresting ways to portray them in games then they are already.
